Buffalo Pride

THE PRIDE CENTER IS PROUDLY SUPPORTED BY BUFFALO PRIDE

The Pride Center of Western New York is the proud recipient of proceeds from Buffalo Pride, an annual celebration of Buffalo’s LGBTQ+ community that doubles as a fundraiser for the Pride Center’s programs and services.

Buffalo’s Pride Parade and Festival are held on the first Sunday of each June as a celebration of LGBTQ+ life, culture and creativity. After covering costs associated with producing the Pride Parade and Festival, all proceeds from Parade and Festival donations, ticket sales and registration fees support programs and services at the Pride Center, including affirming groups and support, access to local LGBTQ+ resources, and linkage to medical and supportive services.

The Buffalo Pride Parade and Festival are hosted by the Evergreen Health Foundation, an affiliate of Evergreen Health, and the celebration is presented by Evergreen Health. Evergreen Health, in collaboration with its affiliates and a team of community consultants, organizes the Parade and Festival as a way to give back to the LGBTQ+ community which has entrusted the organization with their care for more than 40 years.

The Pride Center does not organize or host Buffalo Pride. Please do not contact the Pride Center with questions about Buffalo Pride and associated events – buffalopride.org has information on all things Pride, with contact information if you have additional questions.

buffalo pride mission

The mission of Buffalo Pride is to uplift the LGBTQ+ community by raising awareness and providing access to diverse events that bring people together in the spirit of celebration, advocacy and community engagement. In addition to the Parade and Festival on Sunday, June 2, Pride celebrations happen throughout the month of June thanks to affirming organizations, businesses and individuals that host a range of activities for all ages throughout Buffalo.

ABOUT EVERGREEN HEALTH

Evergreen Health, formerly AIDS Community Services, was founded by a handful of volunteers in 1983 to address the HIV and AIDS crisis in Western New York. As breakthroughs in medical therapy were made in the fight against HIV and other STIs/STDs, Evergreen expanded its range of services beyond HIV care to meet the needs of the community. Today, Evergreen is a comprehensive healthcare delivery system that provides medical, supportive and behavioral services.
